UCOL has a unique opportunity for a person who has a passion for education and developing the next generation of qualified Medical Imaging Technologists. Be part of a dedicated and high-performing team, based at UCOL’s Manawatū campus in Palmerston North, to develop this essential workforce. Our specialist Medical Imaging facilities are based out of our new Te Whaioranga Health Facility, which includes fully operational X-ray equipment.
We are looking for someone with up-to-date knowledge and experience in the field of Medical Imaging who will inspire and support our ākonga (students) to succeed. Working out of our new facilities, you will:
· Work closely with a broad variety of students, being part of their growth and development.
· Contribute to good teaching and assessment practice.
· Apply your knowledge and experience to teaching and course design.
· Collaborate with our key stakeholders, and
· Have the opportunity to engage in research that contributes to the education of our ākonga and the advancement of the profession.
While a postgraduate qualification is preferred, you will:
· Require a minimum of a degree qualification in Medical Imaging Technology with industry experience, along with current New Zealand MRTB registration.
· Have some experience in supervising Medical Imaging ākonga within the clinical setting
· Experience in tertiary education would be an advantage but not essential.
