We are seeking a Learning and Development Specialist who is passionate about fostering an equitable, inclusive and innovative learning environment for our kaimahi | staff. The Learning and Development Specialist – Region 2 can be based at either our Wintec | Te Pūkenga division in Kirikiriroa | Hamilton or our Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga division in Rotorua. This role will be reporting to the Regional Organisational and Development Manager and will be responsible for: 

  • Providing subject matter expertise and delivery across the region to enable high quality learning and development (L&D)
  • Design, develop and deliver regional L&D activities and solutions, including needs analysis, design, development, curation, delivery, evaluation, and facilitation
  • Support and grow our culture, and equity and inclusion initiatives and practices in our L&D programme of work

The appointing salary for this role will be between $87,300 - $109,100, dependent on skills and experience.

  • Experience in a similar position, providing expert insight and L&D delivery at a senior level
  • Demonstrated experience in development and utilising L&D frameworks, policies and standards
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, Microsoft Office Suite, Advance us of Adobe Suite, Articulate Studio, web technology and new technologies in AI and UX, HRIS applications. 
  • Ability to prioritise, problem-solve and communicate across diverse audiences with a focus on equity and excellence
  • Values-led in your ability to connect with others and ensure learning outcomes are met

Our Rohe Rua | Region Two is made up of three tertiary providers: Wintec, Toi Ohomai and Eastern Institute of Technology who are business divisions of Te Pūkenga.
