Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

The Lead Data Analyst is a permanent full-time position which provides analytical leadership and expertise across EIT’s data analysis and visualisation activities. The role transforms complex datasets and requirements into actionable insights that inform decision-making and strategy. As part of EIT’s data and intelligence practice, this position plays a critical role in advancing the organisation’s strategic objectives and supporting its journey towards becoming a data-driven institution.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $75,000 and $93,800, dependent on skills and experience. 

 The Lead Data Analyst is based in the Data and Intelligence department of EIT in Hawkes Bay, reporting to the Director, Data Insight and Innovation. The role is responsible for:

· Lead data analysis and visualisation projects across the organisation.
· Transform complex data into meaningful insights to support decision-making.
· Collaborate with leaders and teams to identify data needs and opportunities.
· Develop and maintain reporting and analytical tools.
· Contribute to EIT’s data strategy and continuous improvement in analytics.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields.
· Strong skills in data visualisation and interpretation.
· Ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· A commitment to innovation and supporting EIT’s journey as a data-driven organisation.
