About the Role 

The role involves planning and delivering a range of activities within the LEAP programme. In particular with a focus on delivering in line with EGL principles ensuring that the people being supported have opportunities and access to experiences that allow for learning and development.  You will be energetic, empathetic and able to work alongside people that we support while focusing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences. 

You will be aware of others and be able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space.  Daily tasks include supporting with activities, maintaining up keep of the services and working in a collaborative team. You will be passionate about providing encouragement, developing skills and quality experiences to all while maintaining a flexible team member attitude and the ability to work seamlessly together. This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.    

Rostered hours 

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm  

Total hours per fortnight; 75 Hours

  • Previous support work, youth work or community education experience required. 
  • Creative, musical, sporting, performing skills or passions that you can share within the LEAP programme would be an advantage 
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who is adaptable and open to new experiences
