Granger House Lifecare is a 70 bed Rest Home and Hospital in Greymouth - our facility is especially built for aged care needs. About Our Role:
- Granger House Lifecare in Greymouth, West Coast
- Permanent Full-time (32 hours or more per week)
- AMs’, PM’s and weekend’s shifts
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Manager, with a passion for working in a culinary environment, to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents. You will have a positive can-do attitude, have the belief that good food is important to well-being, and be great at working with people.
As a Kitchen Manager at Granger Lifecare, no two days will be the same, but you can be certain that each day you will leave work feeling fulfilled knowing that you’ve made a big difference in somebody else’s day. The work can be challenging, but it is also meaningful and rewarding, and your supportive and welcoming team will become your second family.
Skills & Experience
- 2 years minimum experience working in kitchen leadership role
- Experience in food preparation in a busy commercial kitchen
- Experience in preparing menus
- Good interpersonal skills – an even temperament is essential
- Good communication Skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- NZ Diploma in cookery is beneficial but not essential
- Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
