Cantabria Lifecare and Village is a 176-bed care home and hospital with a 35-unit village in Rotorua. Our Care Home & Village Manager is excited about building a positive team culture, being engaged with staff, and being supportive in growing her team professionally. Rewarding opportunity is available for Fulltime Kitchen Manager to join our dedicated team at Cantabria Lifecare and Village in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty 

  • Permanent Full time - 32 hours per week or more hours
  • AM, PM, Nights and Weekend shifts available

As the Kitchen Manager at Cantabria Lifecare and Village, no two days will be the same, but you can be certain that each day you will leave work feeling fulfilled knowing that you’ve made a big difference in somebody else’s day. The work can be challenging, but it is also meaningful and rewarding, and your supportive and welcoming team will become your second family.  

He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience

  • 2 years minimum experience working in kitchen leadership role
  • Experience in food preparation in a busy commercial kitchen
  • Experience in preparing menus
  • Good interpersonal skills – an even temperament is essential
  • Good communication Skills. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • NZ Diploma in cookery is beneficial but not essential 
  • Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
