About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist to provide a hygienic work environment and support in meal services, you will provide nutritional well - presented meals for our residents and be responsible for cleaning food preparation equipment and utensils. Report any faults with equipment to cook. 

This is a permanent role working 14 hours per week, over a 7 day roster. 

Some Duties include but not limited to:

• Ensure utensils and equipment are available to cooks and kitchen assistants
• Keep equipment and utensils stored in the correct quantity and safely
• Meet timetables
• Handle, Label and store chemicals correctly
• Maintain infection control principles
• General kitchen duties including dishwashing

Skills and Experience  

• Has appropriate experience in the industry
• Has a positive attitude, excellent people skills
• Has good organisational skills
