We provide care to five service levels (inclusive of a Mental Health Recovery unit), which is a unique service providing greater learning opportunities for staff.   • Permanent Part-time Position (less than 32 hours per week on a regular basis)
  • PM and Weekend

Our Kitchen Assistants are responsible for helping to provide meals for our residents at Broadview Lifecare, working within a cohesive and well-established team environment. We only want the best for our residents, which is why we are seeking a reliable, helpful professional. This is an opportunity to work in an environment where we value career pathways and positive work ethics.   This is a busy rest home kitchen where you will be undertaking manual tasks and assisting the cook as requested. Experience is not essential as on the job training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this position.  This is a physical role where time on your feet is needed, and a good level of physical fitness is required. 

He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in a kitchen, preferably a commercial kitchen would be preferred however on the job training will be provided.
  • Basic cookery and food hygiene skills. 
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and be a team player.
  • Availability for morning, afternoon and weekend shifts.
  • Understanding of Nga Paerewa sector standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
