Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for a Kaitohu Rangatahi to join our Ōhinga Tū team, supporting young people on their journey through our He Poutama Rangatahi programme.

You'll bring a Kaupapa Māori lens to your work, providing mentorship, guidance, and hands-on support in a way that uplifts their mana and keeps them connected to their identity.  This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Creating a safe, culturally grounded space for rangatahi to grow in confidence and wellbeing
  • Supporting skill development in areas like self-reflection, CV writing, job searching, digital literacy, hauora, and life skills
  • Helping facilitate and deliver programme sessions and practical tasks
  • Building strong relationships with whānau and community to support long-term outcomes
  • Working collaboratively within a close-knit, passionate team
