Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) is a Ngāti Kahungunu mandated, kaupapa Māori values-based hauora services organisation providing hauora and Hapori (community) services to whānau along the East Coast of the North Island, from Mahia to the Wairarapa. Our hauora, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully for whānau for over 40 years.

Our Te Ara Waiora clinic is an exciting, innovation in primary health care. Based in our modern, welcoming premises in Waipukurau, this clinic is designed for whānau who want to easy access to Hauora or who are not enrolled with a Hauora provider. We provide accessible primary Hauora support with an integrated team of Nurses, Health Coaches, Health Promotor who have access to GP’s and specialist support as required.

Reporting to the Team Manager, the purpose of the Kaitari role is to manaaki whānau into our clinic and provide administration support to the team and service. 

This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours). 

The model of care for our clinic includes:

· Applying te ao Māori values; 

· Whanau-centred.

· Integrated care with inter-professional practice; 

Ideal candidates will have:

· A warm, welcoming personality with great people skills

· An understand of tikanga Māori – whānaungatanga, whakamana

· Able to speak and understand at least beginner level Te Reo

· Previous Kaitari experience, ideally in Indici or similar system

· Some experience in Hauroa or Health and Wellbeing or similar is an advantage

· Confident in working with reports, collecting data, design structure and systems within the tari (office).

· High standards of whaiora privacy and confidentiality

· A can-do attitude, flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile

· Professionalism in all aspects of mahi from personal presentation to practice

· A current, Full Driver’s License
