Kaitūruki Whānau Ora - Hutia te Rito

We are seeking a passionate and committed Kaitūruki, Whānau Ora to deliver the Hutia te Rito model through a Whānau Ora approach that strengthens whānau wellbeing and empowers whānau to flourish.
About the Role
This rewarding role supports hapū māmā, pēpi and whānau throughout the critical first 2000 days of a child's life. Working alongside whānau, you will help build confidence, capability and connections by providing early support, fostering positive relationships, and connecting whānau with the services and resources they need to thrive.
Grounded in tikanga Māori, whakapapa and mātauranga Māori, you will walk alongside whānau to:
- Support the health and wellbeing of hapū māmā, pēpi and whānau.
- Build strong, trusting and meaningful relationships.
- Strengthen connections to culture, identity, whakapapa and community.
- Support whānau aspirations and encourage whānau-led decision making.
- Facilitate access to services and supports that enhance wellbeing.
- Promote whānau leadership, resilience and self-determination.
- Deliver the Hutia te Rito model in a way that reflects Whānau Ora values and principles.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for supporting whānau and improving outcomes for pēpi and tamariki.
- Understands kaupapa Māori approaches and is confident working within a Whānau Ora framework.
- Builds strong relationships and works collaboratively with whānau, hapū, iwi and community partners.
- Demonstrates empathy, integrity and a strengths based approach.
- Has experience in health, social services, community development or a related field.
