Based in beautiful Whanganui Te Oranganui is a kaupapa Māori organisation who offers a range of health and wellbeing services for whānau in the Whanganui region and surrounding districts. 

Toiora Whānau is a branch of the organisation that uses a Whānau Ora approach to work intensively with whānau on their goals leading towards positive outcomes. The team walk alongside whānau to navigate pathways in areas such as health, education, housing, employment, welfare and justice.

About the role:

The key to Whānau Ora is an inclusive approach that embeds the organisations Kaupapa Ake principles of practice and values. 

We are looking for a Team Lead to supervise, coordinate and monitor the service delivery of the Kaitūruki Whānau Ora kaimahi. This role primarily focuses on the daily operational targets & outcomes set for the kaimahi they will be leading.

  • confidently participating in Te Ao Māori;

About you

The perfect candidate will have:

  • Previous experience leading a team or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to uphold the fundamental values of Tikanga Māori.
  • Willingness to work in a Kaupapa Māori environment.
  • Great communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills..
  • Ability to reprioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
