Kaitātaki – Community Team Leader
Based in beautiful Whanganui Te Oranganui is a kaupapa Māori organisation who offers a range of health and wellbeing services for whānau in the Whanganui region and surrounding districts.
Te Waipuna Health is the General Practice arm with an enrolled population of 5,000 spread across two Practices. As a low-cost access health centre, we offer a newly refurbished Practice in a supportive and flexible environment.
About the role: Te Oranganui is seeking a confident and values led Kaitātaki – Community Team Leader to provide day to day leadership and coordination for the Te Waipuna Health community team. This role supports kaimahi to deliver responsive, integrated, whānau centred care while strengthening pathways, team wellbeing, and relationships across primary care, community providers, iwi, hapū, and whānau supports.
If you are an experienced Team Leader with strong communication skills, primary care or community health experience, and a commitment to kaupapa Māori, Whānau Ora, and improving outcomes for whānau, we would welcome your application.
About you: Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage. You will have the ability to connect compassionately and collaboratively with whānau and health care professionals. You will have a commitment to improving health outcomes for whānau. Being flexible, adaptable and a critical thinker, who can multitask will be additional strength as you’ll find that no two days are the same.
