About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions of our Whānau Ora, Family Start and Tamariki Ora services. These programmes are essential in providing whānau (families) with the best start in life, focusing on health, education, and social outcomes.
As the Kaihautū Toiora Whānau and Te Puawai Whānau, you will lead and manage the Whānau Ora, Family Start, and Tamariki Ora teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
You will work closely with senior management to implement the strategic direction of the organisation across these services. Building trust and rapport with whānau is crucial, as you will establish supportive and effective relationships to help them achieve their goals. Your role will involve providing advice and support in key areas related to health goals such as immunisations, general practice enrolment, and child development. Additionally, you will assist whānau with access to resources for budgeting, housing, legal matters, mental health, and other concerns through referrals and relevant programmes. Strengthening whānau networks and supporting access to community resources will be a key part of your responsibilities.
In addition to these core duties, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational aspects of the services. This includes managing budgets, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be involved in staff recruitment, training, and development to build a strong, capable team.
Regularly reviewing and improving service delivery processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness will be part of your role. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that aligns with the values and mission of our organisation.
