You will deliver and coordinate a range of health education, lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that are mentally, socially, culturally and physically enriching.

  • Building physical, spiritual, cultural and mental resilience

You will work closely with whānau, kaumātua, health providers and community partners to support positive health outcomes and ensure access to appropriate services.

About You

You will be someone who genuinely enjoys working alongside whānau and supporting them to lead healthier, more connected lives.

You will bring:

  • Experience supporting whānau in health, wellbeing or community-based roles
  • A calm, resilient and empathetic approach when working with vulnerable whānau
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively across sectors
  • Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a supportive team
  • A commitment to kaupapa Māori approaches and culturally appropriate practice
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori models of health

A Certificate in Health Services Level 4 or Health Care Assistance Level 4 is advantageous, as is a current First Aid Certificate. Experience working with iwi or Māori organisations is highly desirable.

You must hold a full, clean Class 1 driver’s licence and be willing to undergo reference checks and police vetting.

What We Offer
