About the role

We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team based in Tauranga as an Investment Adviser. This role will be working in an established partnership with one of our existing Investment Advisers.

In this role you will develop business plans and strategies in order to build a client base with a keen eye on providing high quality investment advice that is aligned to client’s investment goals and circumstances. You will bring a set of skills that adds value to a partnership to grow the existing book and manage the current client relationships with your fellow adviser.

We are committed to continuous learning, so our team of 200+ Investment Advisers receive training on products, sales and networking skills. The Tauranga office has a robust strategy and has established a set of target localities, communities and sectors. 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

  • Have a tertiary degree in either Finance, Commerce, Business or a related field;
  • Be a qualified Financial Adviser (Level 5 desirable);
  • Strong understanding or relevant experience in listed and unlisted financial markets both locally and globally, ideally a minimum of 5 years;
  • Enjoy working with people and helping them make informed decisions relevant to their financial future; 
  • Have worked in partnerships (possibly in other fields) and can work in a small, close-knit team
  • Have the ability to explain financial concepts simply and easily;
  • Be energetic, motivated and proactive;
  • Have strong business development skills;
  • Possess excellent communication and networking skills; 
  • Have established local connections to client networks;
  • Have a high level of professionalism.

Although a qualified Financial Adviser would be desirable, we are open to receiving applications from candidates who are working in a related field and who may not currently possess a relevant qualification and/or Level 5 Financial Services Certificate.
