Craigs Investment Partners (CIP) is a multi-award-winning investment advisory firm which is one of the largest in New Zealand. With 19 offices located throughout the country and over 170 Investment Advisers, CIP offers solutions and advice to both private investors, corporate and institutional clients. 

Our highly successful Superannuation and Savings (SSD) team is looking for two keen individuals to join the team as Portfolio Review Advisers based in our Tauranga branch office. 

This integral client engagement and financial advisory role will be focussed on ensuring that clients who are invested in CIP’s KiwiSaver, Superannuation and Savings products have portfolios aligned to their needs and objectives. 

Key focus areas include proactively contacting CIP’s KiwiSaver, Superannuation and Savings clients to conduct portfolio reviews which will involve information gathering on client’s goals, strategies and risk appetite, preparing client review documentation, making portfolio recommendations and discussing the outcomes with clients. You will also need to implement changes to client portfolios by placing trades through the NZX Wealth Technology platform and recording client data on CIP’s CRM platform.

The SSD Portfolio Review Adviser will have a keen eye for detail with a focus on ensuring accuracy in all that you do. You will have top notch client relationship skills, along with a passion for financial markets and helping clients achieve their financial goals. You will be highly professional and have sound written and verbal communication skills as client engagement is the key part of this role. 

To be successful in this role, you would ideally:

  • Enjoy working with people and helping them make informed decisions on their investments;
  • Have the ability to explain financial concepts in an easily understandable way;
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills;
  • Be energetic, motivated and proactive;
  • Have a high level of professionalism;
  • Have approximately three years’ experience in a financial services environment, preferably giving financial advice to clients.

You should be qualified to give Financial Advice in New Zealand and hold, or are close to completing, your New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).  Training and development will be provided where necessary, including support to attain NZX Adviser status.
