Inventory Operations Specialist

We are seeking an organised and hands-on Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to manage inventory within our liquor distribution warehouse while coordinating the movement of inward and outward goods. This role combines administration duties with active involvement on the Distribution Centre floor, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and assisting with stock movement when required. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular stocktakes, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate stock levels. 
  • Coordinate logistics relating to purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, and processing. 
  • Monitor inwards and outwards orders to minimise stock shortages and out-of-stock situations. 
  • Perform routine stock checks and report issues to management. 
  • Assist with stock-related queries from both inward goods and dispatch teams. 
  • Resolve picking errors promptly and efficiently. 
  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of warehouse and inventory management systems. 
  • Assist with IT and technology upgrades within the Distribution Centre, including testing and rollout of new systems and      processes. 
  • Maintain accurate system data and ensure inventory records are aligned across warehouse platforms. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology and process improvements. 
  • Work closely with management and external suppliers during system upgrades and maintenance. 
  • Support day-to-day warehouse operations and provide hands-on assistance on the warehouse floor as required.

  • Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks when required
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work situations and priorities
