About Us

Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) is a whānau-focused, Iwi mandated, kaupapa Māori health and social services organisation. We have been supporting our whānau me hapori to achieve their aspirations and general wellbeing for more than 40 years.  Underpinning our success as an organisation are our values: Kotahitanga, Whakamana, Kaitiakitanga and Whanaungataunga, which are woven through everything we do. 

As one of NZ’s largest kaupapa Māori health and social services organisations, we are responsible for the effective delivery of over 120 Funder contracts across a wide and diverse range of services covering Housing, Health, Dental, Mental Health, Addictions, Rangatahi, Family Start, Social Services, Community Education, Residential care, Homecare services, Justice and Family Harm. These services are delivered by over 400 dedicated kaimahi that walk with whānau who seek mana motuhake over their oranga.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced internal Auditor with an engaging personality, strong communication and leadership skills. We need someone who is proactive, extremely organised, has an ability to problem-solve and pays meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. 

As part of the Q&R team, this role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an Audit and Assurance programme across the organisation. This will include:

· Leading and coordinating the organisations Internal and External Audit schedule and activity

· Undertaking an Audit and Assurance review over services as part of an Internal Audit programme

· Working with Managers to ensuring organisational compliance with required legislation and standards

· Assisting with the development and review of policies, processes and procedures as required

The Person:

· A formal qualification in Quality and Risk or Audit field 

· Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance, Risk or Auditor role

· Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel 

· Experience with Promapp, Logic or similar process mapping software

· Experience in the Health and Social Services sector
