Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

We are currently seeking an exceptional person to lead our front-line team of Student Services Advisors based at the Mokoia Campus in Rotorua. The Information Centre is part of the Student Administration and Services Team and contributes to providing student focussed admission services, and support to all stakeholders the organisation connects with.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $81,478.45 - $95,857.00, dependent on skills and experience.

The key responsibilities for this role include; 

  • Engaging positively with all stakeholders, including prospective and current students via many channels
  • Keeping abreast of programme information to correctly train and support your team of Advisors
  • Managing and monitoring of Information Centre processes
  • Relationship building and maintaining with internal and external stakeholders
  • Timely communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Champion Health and Safety for the team

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Advanced or higher-level qualification in Business Administration, Computing, Management or other relevant area
  • Four to five years' experience leading and managing a medium sized team
  • Experience in a service environment and proven ability in service development
  • Strong empathy and natural ability to relate to diversity
  • Preferrable experience in a tertiary environment

Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills with a professional, approachable and helpful manner are the essence of this role. You will have an enthusiastic, positive and proactive working style and a strong desire to help people along with a flexible outlook and an ability to prioritise workloads, exercise initiative and achieve deadlines within an often-interrupted environment. It Is also important that you are also able to demonstrate an ability to be analytical and cope with regular change.
