Crown Law is at the heart of the New Zealand public service. We have been providing services to Government for over 140 years. With some of the most important legal work in New Zealand, every day our staff are providing legal advice to departments and Ministers, appearing in the highest courts and supporting the Solicitor General to deliver on her constitutional role. We also provide leadership for the networks of Crown Solicitors, public prosecuting agencies and the more than 850 lawyers who work in Government.

About the role

This is an outstanding opportunity to serve the Crown in a busy, high performing Government department that has recently refreshed its strategic direction and the operating model of its Information Technology function. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the way we deliver IT services to the business.

We are looking to appoint two IT Support Analysts, reporting to the Manager Technology Services. These roles are an integral part of the IT services team, focusing on delivering exceptional IT support services to Crown Law staff.

You are motivated by, and genuinely enjoy, providing excellent customer service. This may be through email, phone calls or in person and you will be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people. You will be experienced at efficiently troubleshooting various hardware, application or network faults and escalating when necessary, while still retaining ownership of the outcome.

You will be a strong communicator and enjoy collaborating as part of a team to deliver results. You will have proven experience in using service desk tools to collate incidents and service requests to ensure resolution as well as be to report on trends and significant pain points to the business.
