We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR advisor to join our people and culture team, some who is ready to make an impact, build strong relationships and support our leaders as we continue to grow. 

We are now looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to support our North Island operation. This role can be based in Auckland or Christchurch and will work closely with the North Island operational leaders and the Group HR Manager.

About the Role 

As HR Advisor, you’ll provide generalist HR support across our North Island operations. You’ll assist with employment relations, recruitment, onboarding, and HR systems, while helping to foster a culture of performance, and inclusion. This is a hands-on role with exposure to all aspects of HR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and practical HR advice to managers and employees. 
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes. 
  • Assisting with HR policy development, employment agreements and compliance. 
  • Assist with employment relations matters and documentation. 
  • Maintain accurate HR records, and support systems and reporting. 
  • Champion employee wellbeing, engagement, and development. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the People function. 
  • Support training, engagement and retention initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with the Group HR Manager and wider team on HR projects and initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in the operational or industrial sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g. Bamboo) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
