ILT operates 23 businesses including hotels and taverns and employs around 700 staff. Profits are reinvested into hospitality facilities and distributed to over 400 community organisations annually.

ILT operates three hotels: Ascot Park Hotel, The Langlands, and the Kelvin Hotel in Invercargill. This role may be based at any of these hotels.

The Role
The Hotel Duty Manager supervises day-to-day hotel service operations across accommodation, food and beverage, and front office areas. The role is responsible for allocating staff duties, maintaining rosters, ensuring service and safety standards are met, and supporting the effective delivery of guest services.

Skills & Experience

 At least two years of relevant hospitality management experience, or a relevant formal qualification (which may substitute for experience)

Proven experience in hotel, restaurant, or food and beverage operations

Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate teams

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills

Ability to work autonomously and make sound operational decisions

Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence

A proven track record in hospitality or hotel management

Current General Manager’s Licence, or the ability to obtain one
