Hospitality Coordinator - 32 hours per week

Mō te tūranga  - About the role

This is a newly created position responsible for specialist advice, leadership and coordination of our hospitality teams across our residential Enliven Homes.  

The role will identify opportunities for improvement, and support consistent practices in relation to our hospitality services.  In addition, the role will contribute to the development of our hospitality team's capability, and identify improvements of systems and processes.  A key focus will be the implementation and ongoing coordination of our new digital menu and kitchen management software. 

There will be responsibility for the recruitment, education and training of Enliven hospitality team members alongside effective management of budgets, operational food hygiene and safety management and the delivery of high quality food services that appropriately meet the complexity of our resident's needs.

The role will involve travel to our Enliven Homes across the Lower and Central North Island and may include occasional overnight stays.  

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing leadership, guidance and subject matter expertise across food, catering and associated laundry and cleaning services.
  • Effective implementation and utilisation of our digital menu and kitchen management software
  • Identify and monitor quality and performance indicators that drive improvements
  • Analyse trends, hazards and risks to ensure compliance with best practice operation models
  • Review and continuously develop supporting policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Oversight of procurement and building of strong working relationships with suppliers
  • Coordinating internal audits and quality reviews of our food services.

Making our Elders mealtimes, celebrations special through the delivery of high quality of hospitality services is an important role in our Enliven Homes!   

Mō koe - About you

We are looking for someone with strong experience in hospitality, ideally within residential aged care, healthcare, or similar environment. Working across multiple sites you will need to be able to build great working relationships, often remotely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

You will:

  • Hold a diploma or higher qualification in hospitality services, hotel services or food services. Understand food safety, hygiene, infection prevention, auditing and quality assurance requirements. 
  • Be tech savvy and confident in the implementation, training and use of technology to aid digital menu planning
  • Have great communication skills with the ability to turn legislation, standards and good practice into clear, practical procedures that teams can follow.
  • Be committed to your on-going learning and development and be willing to undertake relevant training or qualifications with Enliven’s support. 
  • Hold a full driver’s license and have the ability to work flexibly at times
