Cleaning and Laundry 

Enliven is a not-for-profit service providing aged residential care to older people in the lower half of the North Island. We believe older people should remain connected to their community and live stimulating and fulfilling lives. All our homes embrace an elder-directed model of care called the Eden Alternative. 


About the Role 

As a Laundry Services team member, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Home is kept clean, warm and secure for residents and staff at the facility. You will be responsible for providing quality laundry services for residents and staff that is maintained to a consistent standard. 

The Laundry position is 27.5 hours per week. The shifts are Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm.

As a cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Home is kept clean and tidy. You will be responsible for providing quality cleaning and hygiene services for residents and staff that is maintained to a consistent standard.

The Cleaner position is 16 hours per week. The shifts are 8am – 4:30pm, days negotiable

About You 

As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills and sense of humour. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. 

A commitment to Enliven’s Eden philosophy of care is a key component of this role. 

In addition, you will have: 

  • A qualification in a relevant field is desirable 
  • Some experience in working in a commercial laundry environment 
  • Knowledge and understanding of cleaning programmes and infection control
  • Good written and documentation skills 
  • Basic computer skills
