Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We're looking for a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisor who’s passionate about making a real difference. In this vital role, you’ll provide expert guidance and hands-on support to ensure our Home Healthcare team operates in safe, healthy environments, empowering both our kaimahi and the people they care for to thrive at work and home.

Key responsibilities of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor role include:

  • Monitor, guide and support health and safety investigations
  • Promote wellbeing initiatives and strengthen communication across teams
  • Engage with our Support Workers to build connections and awareness
  • Partner with the Senior H&S Advisor on complex safety matters
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and planning for new projects
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting to leadership
  • Work within organisational budgets and frameworks
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in safety and well-being

You’re a people-focused problem solver, committed to keeping others safe and supported. Your strong communication and relationship-building skills make you an approachable and trusted presence across all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience we are looking for

  • A relevant degree or diploma, plus hands-on experience in health, safety, or wellbeing
  • Strong working knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation
  • Excellent task management and clear communication skills
  • Experience in a collaborative, values-based organisation
  • Confidence in leading wellbeing conversations and initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • A full NZ Class 1 license
