About the role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our fun, friendly team. This is a full-time position working rostered shifts. Our Healthcare Assistants have a high level of patient/whanau interaction; this role is an integral part of our service.
You will work as part of a tight-knit multi-disciplinary team offering support and assistance to the Inpatient team nurses.


To be successful you will need:

  • To be able to comfortably maneuver large trollies to transport supplies and equipment throughout the facility
  • Previous experience within a healthcare setting (essential), preferably in a hospital environment
  • Completed level 2 NCEA/6th form certificate
  • A healthcare certificate or equivalent 
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written and literacy skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • To be flexible/adaptable and to  respond positively to the changing needs of the business
  • Hold relevant residency status to work in New Zealand
