Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are seeking two Healthcare Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated Ward team. These positions are 0.6 FTE. 

Our Healthcare Assistants have a high level of patient/whanau interaction; this role is an integral part of our service. You will work as part of a tight-knit multi-disciplinary team offering support and assistance to the Inpatient team nurses. 

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • To be able to comfortably maneuver large trollies to transport supplies and equipment throughout the facility
  • Previous experience within a healthcare setting (essential), preferably in a hospital environment
  • Completed level 2 NCEA/6th form certificate
  • A healthcare certificate or equivalent 
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written and literacy skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • To be flexible/adaptable and to  respond positively to the changing needs of the business
  • Hold relevant residency status to work in New Zealand
