Healthcare Assistant
Location: Radius Fulton, 530 Hillside Road, Caversham, Dunedin 9012
Hours of work: Full time, rostered night shifts only
Pay Rate: $23.15 - $28.25 per hour - subject to completed caregiving qualification, plus Night Shift allowances and Weekend allowances if applicable
About the Role
Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.
Some Duties include but not limited to:
- Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
- Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
- Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
- Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
- Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent), OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) AND 3 years of relevant experience
- People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
