Levin Home for War Veterans was first opened in 1959 for soldiers returning from war. Today, the home welcomes people from all walks of life. All residents at Levin Home are supported to maintain close connections with family, friends and the local community. That means the home if often a hive of activity with residents and visitors enjoying spending time together around the spacious home.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements. You will also encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves.
We have several positions available including a Permanent Part Time position working for PM shifts. We also have a fixed term 6 months position covering parental leave working PM shifts.
Your key responsibilities will be:
We work with a fixed roster so you can plan ahead but the ability to offer some flexibility to pick up additional shifts, to provide cover in the home is always welcomed. We would really like to hear from you and talk about what hours or shifts you are looking for, because we may just have the hours to suit you as we have Casual Roles available.
