Mō te tūranga - About the role
What makes this casual position different from others is that you will be offered work at the same location - Levin - each time you pick up an available Bureau shift, so you will feel like part of a team and get to know our residents when you come to work.
You will support an Enliven team in an environment, where everyone wants to deliver great quality care to our residents and ensure they have a positive experience whilst living at Levin Home for War Veterans. We value the flexibility you can bring with you as we appreciate every team member that can support our Homes to be a great place to live and work
- Support our residents with their daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
- Provide personal care and wellbeing support under the guidance of Registered Nurses and care leaders.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and encourage social connection, activities, and engagement.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' health and wellbeing, ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to create a safe, welcoming, and vibrant home environment aligned with Enliven's Eden Philosophy.

Mō koe - About You
You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect, and operate with a person-centred approach and high care standards. Whether you are spending time with staff or residents, it's all about the way we communicate with each other and how we get the job done that counts towards making the difference to everyone's day.
- Hold a Level 2 Health and Wellbeing (or higher).
- You are confident using a range of technology platforms and systems, with the ability to learn new applications quickly and accurately.
- You have a genuine passion for supporting older people and helping them live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
- You are caring, respectful, and able to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- You are reliable, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality care and service.
- You have strong communication and teamwork skills and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.
- Have the ability to travel to and from work in New Plymouth
As a casual team member you will be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
