Are you passionate about creating safe, supportive workplaces and building a positive safety culture?

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join ILT. This is a varied role working across our 23 hospitality businesses, partnering closely with managers, Health & Safety Representatives and our wider teams.

People are at the heart of what we do, and this role is about making health and safety practical, engaging and part of everyday operations.

About the role

You’ll take the lead on health, safety and wellbeing across the organisation, providing practical advice, support and training to our managers and teams. You’ll manage our HSW systems and processes, monitor compliance, identify and manage risks, investigate incidents and help ensure we continue to provide safe and supportive workplaces.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining HSW policies, procedures, risk registers and SOPs
  • Conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections and audits
  • Leading incident and near-miss investigations and following up corrective actions
  • Supporting and coaching managers and Health & Safety Representatives
  • Monitoring HSW actions, training requirements and overall compliance
  • Coordinating and chairing Health & Safety meetings
  • Managing contractor health and safety processes
  • Preparing reports and maintaining accurate HSW records
  • Supporting employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Monitoring liquor licensing compliance and maintaining associated records
  • General compliance monitoring and data entry

The role is a mix of being out in our businesses alongside our teams and managers, as well as keeping on top of the systems, records, reporting and compliance that sit behind good health and safety practices.

About you

We’re looking for someone who has a solid health and safety background and is comfortable working independently while building strong relationships across a busy and varied organisation.

You’ll bring a strong understanding of health and safety legislation, experience and the ability to train, coach and influence others. You’ll also be organised, practical, adaptable and confident communicating with people at all levels.

This is a full-time position and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, likes getting out into the workplace and wants to make a genuine difference to the safety and wellbeing of our people.

If you’re passionate about health, safety and wellbeing and enjoy a role where no two days are quite the same, we’d love to hear from you.
