Tūaropaki Trust (www.tuaropaki.com) is an Ahu Whenua Trust under the auspices of Te Ture Whenua Māori. There are more than 2,700 Owners, a mix of individuals, Whānau Trusts and Kaitiaki Trusts, all descended from the original Owners. The Trust is a kaitiaki for ancestral taonga and manages complex business interests in the food and energy sectors, with assets valued at approximately $1 billion.

Te tūranga | Your role
Reporting to the Chief Corporate, People and Risk Officer, the Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment (HSWE) Manager leads the development and implementation of Tūaropaki’s HSWE Strategy and Roadmap. This includes continuing to develop the critical risk management framework and embedding systems and processes that support a safe, sustainable, and values-aligned working environment.
This role supports HSWE processes across a diverse operational footprint, including the Trust’s head office, forestry blocks, farm and dairy operations, sustainability centre, and tenanted subsidiaries such as Tūaropaki Power Company and Halcyon Power.
