Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role
We seek an experienced and values-driven Head of School - Business to provide strategic, people, and operational leadership within the Business discipline. Reporting to the Head of College, the role is responsible for operationalising the strategic direction of the College and wider organisation, leading academic and professional kaimahi, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, future-focused business programmes that are academically robust, financially sustainable, and aligned with industry, professional bodies, and workforce needs, including the growth and delivery of flexible and online learning models.
The Head of School – Business will provide strong people leadership, creating a high-trust, high-performing team culture and ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and learner experience across on-campus, online and work-integrated delivery modes. The role leads day-to-day operations, drives curriculum quality and relevance across business programmes, and ensures academic integrity and performance expectations are consistently met.

You will bring leadership experience in an education context, business discipline knowledge, and the ability to translate strategy into action. You will be a confident people leader with sound operational and financial reasoning, a commitment to equity and sustainability, and a strong focus on ākonga (learner) and graduate success.
Your academic experience will include overseeing the implementation of high-quality online and blended learning, enhancing and extending established on-campus and traditional delivery modes, with the ability to lead innovation in digital education models and build capability within kaimahi to deliver effectively in these environments.
