This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead FMG's property, facilities and procurement functions, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value, sustainable outcomes and outstanding workplace experiences for our people across New Zealand.
Reporting to the Chief Financial & Investment Officer, you'll provide strategic leadership across FMG's national property portfolio, procurement function (excluding ICT) and facilities operations.
You'll lead a high-performing team and work closely with senior leaders across the business to drive commercial outcomes, strengthen supplier partnerships, optimise FMG's property footprint and ensure our workplaces support the needs of our people and business.
This role offers a broad remit, combining strategic thinking with operational leadership and the opportunity to influence decisions across the organisation. You'll be responsible for:
- Leading FMG's procurement strategy, frameworks and governance practices.
- Building and managing strategic supplier relationships and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Driving value, efficiency and sustainability outcomes across FMG's supplier network.
- Managing FMG's nationwide property portfolio, including lease negotiations, renewals, fit-outs and office relocations.
- Providing leadership across facilities management, contractor management and workplace services.
- Leading significant property and workplace projects from concept through to delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, health and safety, risk and governance requirements.
- Developing and leading a capable, engaged and high-performing team.
- Partnering with leaders across FMG to support strategic decision-making and deliver business outcomes.
You'll bring a combination of strategic leadership capability, commercial acumen and relationship management expertise.
To be successful, you'll likely have:
- Significant experience leading procurement, property, facilities or commercial functions within a complex organisation.
- Proven experience negotiating high-value contracts, supplier agreements and commercial arrangements.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, risk management and supplier performance frameworks.
- Experience managing property portfolios, lease negotiations and workplace projects.
- A track record of building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong financial, analytical and commercial decision-making capability.
- A collaborative leadership style and a passion for delivering practical, business-focused solutions.
At FMG, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating an environment where our people can thrive, grow and bring their whole selves to work.
In return, you'll enjoy:
- The opportunity to make a significant impact across a purpose-led organisation.
- A collaborative and supportive leadership team.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Competitive remuneration and benefits.
Most importantly, you'll be joining an organisation committed to helping build strong and prosperous rural communities throughout New Zealand. If you're a strategic leader with a passion for commercial excellence, supplier partnerships and creating exceptional workplace experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
