Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Head of Marketing and Events to work in a leadership capacity, as part of the Wintec Marketing, Events and Communication Team. With a nice balance of strategy, leadership and hands-on marketing you’ll play a key role in developing and executing the recruitment strategies for the institute as well as supporting our events and venues team.

The Head of Marketing Events is based at our Hamilton City Campus reporting to the Director of Marketing, Events and Communication and will be responsible for: 

  • Leading and coaching the marketing, design, events and venues teams 
  • Developing and executing brand and product marketing strategies and plans 
  • Proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders to build brand reputation 
  • Being the brand guidelines champion – sharing our vision and value proposition 
  • Working closely with other leaders to develop cross-team relationships

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5+ years senior leadership experience in Marketing and Events
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies 
  • Excellent management skills 
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing and social media
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders 
  • An understanding of the inclusion of Te Tiriti o Waitangi practices in a workplace setting
  • A can do-attitude
