Designed to provide exceptional education and care for tamariki aged 3 months to 5 years, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape a centre culture from day one and create a place where children, whānau, and teachers can thrive.
The Role
This is your opportunity to step into a meaningful leadership role where your impact will be felt from the very beginning. As Head Teacher, you’ll lead, inspire, and support a passionate teaching team, fostering a collaborative culture built on respect, innovation, and high-quality practice.
You’ll play a key role in creating rich, inspiring learning environments, mentoring and growing your team, and building strong partnerships with whānau to ensure the very best outcomes for tamariki. This is your chance to bring your vision, leadership, and passion to life in an exciting new centre.
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week).

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated and inspiring leader who is ready to make their mark. You will bring:
- A Level 7 ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current teacher certification
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to inspire and empower others
- A strong understanding of Te Whāriki and current ECE regulations
- A growth mindset and commitment to innovative, inclusive teaching practice
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach to working with whānau and teams
