Start 2026 with a role where you can truly make a difference. BestStart Pleasant Point is seeking a passionate, qualified, and registered Head Teacher to lead our Preschool room and help shape the learning journeys of our 2–3-year-old tamariki.

About the Role
- Permanent, full-time (40 hours)
- Monday–Friday, 8.30am–5pm
- Lead learning for 2–3-year-old tamariki in our Preschool (Ruma Tinana)
- Support tamariki as they gain confidence, independence, and strong social skills
- Foster their voice, ideas, and curiosity
- Maintain strong relationships with local primary schools for smooth transitions
What We’re Looking For
A natural leader who brings warmth, vision, and heart, someone who values relationships, teamwork, and rural community connections.
You will also have:
- BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) + current certification
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, planning, assessment & compliance
- Passion for high-quality teaching and learning
- A growth mindset and collaborative leadership style
