BestStart Melling is a purpose-built centre caring for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We are now seeking a dedicated and registered Qualified Teacher to step into the role of Head Teacher in our Nursery. The Role
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
As Head Teacher in our Nursery, you will lead with heart and purpose—fostering a supportive, collaborative environment and inspiring learning that reflects the needs and interests of our youngest tamariki.
What We’re Looking For
You will be a natural leader who shares our vision and values, and who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning. You’ll bring:
- A Level 7 ECE or Primary Teaching qualification
- Current NZ Teacher Certification
- Strong knowledge of programme planning, curriculum and pedagogy
- Sound understanding of current ECE regulations and Te Whāriki
- Commitment to growth, professional development and quality outcomes
- A love of children, their families and the joy of early learning
