BestStart Marne Street is seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified and Registered Teacher to join our team as Head Teacher in our toddler space (2–3 years).
We are home to the original Kindness Kids, guided by our vision to lead with a kind heart and a curious mind. Backing onto College Street Normal School, we value strong relationships with tamariki and whānau. We also enjoy regular excursions, farm visits, local park trips and block walks that inspire learning and exploration.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a confident leader who will inspire our toddler team, support tamariki through this important stage of development, and bring our Kindness Kids philosophy to life.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Role requirements:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
- Leadership experience and strong communication skills
- Good understanding of Te Whāriki, planning and assessment
- Commitment to quality teaching, child-led learning and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- A positive, collaborative approach to leading a team
