BestStart Hei Hei is looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher to step into the role of Head Teacher for our under 3s classroom. This is a permanent, full-time role, 40 hours, Monday to Friday. within a warm, supportive team who are committed to making a real difference in our tamariki’s lives.

About the Role
We are seeking a natural leader who shares our centre’s vision and values. You’ll bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning. As Head Teacher, you’ll inspire your team, support whānau, and help shape high-quality learning experiences for our youngest learners.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 7 ECE qualification (BEd/Dip Teaching)
- Current NZ Teacher Certification
- Strong knowledge of programme planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery
- Familiarity with ECE regulations and Te Whāriki
- A collaborative, respectful, and relationship-focused teaching style
- A commitment to delivering quality learning and care every day
