About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and capable Head Teacher to lead our Under 2s team and help create a nurturing environment where children, whānau, and teachers feel supported and valued. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is ready to take the next step in their career or an experienced leader looking for a new challenge. While previous leadership experience is beneficial, we are open to teachers who can demonstrate strong leadership qualities, a collaborative approach, and the ability to inspire and support others.

As Head Teacher, you will play a key role in leading curriculum delivery, mentoring and supporting your team, building strong relationships with whānau, and ensuring high-quality care and education for our youngest learners.

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Role Requirements

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) with current teacher registration/certification
  • A solid understanding of child-led curriculum and the ability to extend children's learning
  • Strong knowledge of current ECE Regulations and Te Whāriki, with a focus on compliance
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice
  • A deep passion for teaching and learning
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues
  • Strong leadership potential with the ability to guide, mentor, and support a teaching team
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers is highly desirable
  • A collaborative and growth-focused approach to leadership
