BestStart Delta Ave is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher in early childhood to join our energetic and tight-knit team as our new Head Teacher in our Infants room. Our focus is to provide quality education to the children in our community.
About the Role:
BestStart Delta Ave is seeking a Head Teacher for our Infants room. This leadership role involves guiding and mentoring a dedicated team to provide individualized care and learning. Responsibilities include collaborating with families to support each child's development, advocating for children while upholding professional standards.
The ideal candidate is experienced with infants, calm, empathetic, and can maintain a sense of humor under pressure. Join us at BestStart Delta Ave in creating a positive and enriching environment for our youngest learners!
This is a permanent position working 40 hours Monday-Friday
Role requirements:
We're looking for a natural leader who shares our values and vision who has a good understanding of programme planning and assessment as well as a drive and passion for growth.
As well as:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum
- Good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
