HR Manager
At Bidfood Auckland South, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the branch HR function and support our leaders and employees across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, providing practical employment relations advice, supporting leaders through people challenges and helping create a positive workplace culture.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the delivery of HR services across the branch
- Supporting managers with employment relations, investigations, performance and attendance management
- Providing practical advice on people-related matters and managing employment risk
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and payroll administration processes
- Analysing workforce data and trends to support business decisions
- Driving employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies
What we're looking for
- Proven HR generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment relations and employment legislation
- Experience managing investigations and formal employment processes
- The confidence to coach and influence leaders at all levels
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment is highly regarded
