Location: Radius Support Office, 56 Parnell Road, Parnell, Auckland

Hours of work: Permanent Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday ( occasional on-call weekend support may be required) 

About the role:

Are you a proactive and adaptable HR professional ready to make a meaningful impact in a growing service? Radius Care is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to support our Home Care division. This is a brand-new role, offering you the unique opportunity to shape and grow the position as the service evolves.

You’ll be based at our Auckland support office, working closely with the wider People team while supporting the Home Care team across a broad range of HR functions: from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Write job descriptions and post job ads
  • Conduct interviews and complete pre-employment checks
  • Onboard new hires and ensure orientation and training are completed
  •  Check in with new staff  to ensure that everything is going well 

HR Administration

  • Ensure compliance with policies and employment legislation
  • Maintain accurate employee records using HR systems
  • Manage employment variations and change requisitions

Employee Relations & Performance

  •  Work with the People team to manage staffing issues ranging from disciplinary processes and performance management 
  • Promote a positive and compliant workplace culture
  • Support performance reviews and development planning

Training & Development

  • Ensure that all compulsory training is completed
  • Support with the development or publishing of training material 
  • Deliver toolbox talks and support training content development

Communication & Relationship Management

  • Be the first point of contact for Home Care staff
  • Manage staff updates, client feedback, and complaints
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders

Payroll & Health & Safety

  • Provide basic payroll advice to employees and liaise with the Payroll team
  • Ensure H&S registers are maintained and training is completed
  • Support incident reviews and investigations
  • Review Policies

Skills and Experience 

  • 3+ years in HR Coordination or Advisory roles
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and NZ employment law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Discretion with confidential information 
  • HR or related qualification is desirable

Other relevant information 

While the role will be primarily Monday to Friday; in urgent situations there may be the need to provide on-call scheduling (shift covering) support during the weekends.  

 As this is a new role, other tasks may need to be carried out as the running of the service evolves.
