Group Maintenance Manager - Hawkes Bay Toyota
The Hawkes Bay Toyota Group is looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee general maintenance across our dealership sites in Hastings, Napier, Taupo, Rotorua, and Gisborne.
This is a varied, autonomous role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys variety in their week, and doesn’t mind getting stuck in. You’ll be our go-to for all things maintenance — from paint touch-ups and signage, to plumbing, air systems, and preparing our sites for Toyota audits.
We’re flexible on how your week looks (around 40 hours p/w) and will provide you with a company vehicle and phone to make travel between sites easy.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll take responsibility for maintaining our facilities to a high standard across all branches. You’ll work closely with managers and admins across the group to ensure our buildings, yards, and equipment remain safe, compliant, and looking their best – while confidently liaising with and organising contractors as needed.
Key responsibilities
- General maintenance and repair work across all sites (Hastings, Napier, Taupo, Rotorua, Gisborne)
- Test and tag of electrical equipment
- Maintenance of signage, paintwork, and general presentation
- Basic plumbing and air system checks
- Oversight of oil drainage and vacuum systems
- Water blasting, cleaning, and window maintenance (Napier/Hastings sites)
- Organising and managing contractors for specialised work
- Staying up to date with council regulations and H&S requirements
- Working alongside the EH&S Coordinator to ensure sites are prepared for Toyota and internal audits
About you
- You’re practical, reliable, and like to keep things in order
- Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or trade-related work
- Great communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own time
- Willing to travel across the central North Island as needed
