Mō mātou: About us Welcome to our wild party! At Te Nukuao Wellington Zoo we are guided by our kaupapa “Me Tiaki, Kia Ora!” – we must look after our environment. We punch above our weight in leading the way through connecting people with animals, saving animals in the wild and ensuring we’re a voice to be heard.
Mō te tūranga: About the role This is an opportunity for you to be part of a unique and special environment.
The Grounds Keeper role works closely with the Manager and Grounds team to keep the general appearance of the Zoo looking it’s best throughout the day. There is a little bit of everything to do from collecting recycling and animal waste; leaf blowing and clearing paths; collecting browse and bamboo for animal diets, and pretty much anything else that needs doing to keep the Zoo in tip-top shape for our visitors.
This is a physical, all-weather role working five set days: Tuesday to Saturday from 7:30am to 4:00pm each day.
