Grade 3 Raft guides
We are looking for NZ qualified Grade 3 Guides to Work on the Tongariro River based in Turangi The Job involves guiding Grade 2 family trips Grade 3 Whitewater trips and also oar boat rafting on the whitewater section with Fishing clients. The river is technically challenging and is a great place to hone your technical rafting skills. Trips range from 2 hours to full day excursions. You will need your NZ raft guide grade 3 qualification and have a willingness to work across the many activities that are offered by TRR. This may include mountain bike guiding or working on our conservation initiatives with the native Whio (Blue Duck) on our local rivers. A minimum of 3 years rafting experience is preferred. This is a fixed term position. The season starts 21 October and runs through to the end of April. You need to be prepared to work weekends and public holidays. We operate a 6 day on 2 day off rotating roster
Skills & Experience
What we require:
Grade 3 raft guide
3 years of Commercial rafting experience
A clean driving record / full licence
Qualifications
NZ raft Guide grade 3 Award or higher
Current First Aid Certificate Current River Rescue Qualification
Pre-employment drug test
Clean Drivers Licence
