He angitūtanga - The opportunity
Join the Community Infrastructure Group as our Geospatial Technician and Hydraulic Modeller. In this role you will develop and maintain spatial data for the three waters systems, delivering high-quality information to both internal and external customers through the council's GIS (Geographical Information System) and AMIS (Asset Management Information System). You will implement and sustain hydraulic models for the three waters networks, ensuring continuous improvements and accuracy in network modelling. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise to support effective asset management planning for the council's infrastructure assets and contribute to the deployment of a three waters asset management system offering user support to optimise the use of our database systems.
He kōrero mōu - About you
As the ideal candidate for the Geospatial Technician and Hydraulic Modeller position, you bring at least three years of experience in roles like Geospatial Analyst or Asset Planning Engineer. You’re well-versed in ESRI Arc GIS Pro software and have advanced knowledge of the Info works Hydraulic Modelling package. Your strong understanding of Infrastructure Asset Management practices along with familiarity with IIMA, allows you to make meaningful contributions. Proficiency in Infor IPS asset management software is a plus, and your solid grasp of three waters networks and treatment plants is essential. You’re highly skilled in Geospatial and Hydraulic Modelling software and have a keen eye for detail. With excellent communication skills, you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working across teams. Your ability to analyse information and interpret technical drawings makes you a great fit for this role, and we look forward to seeing how you can help us make a positive impact!
