We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our kaupapa Māori health practice in Whanganui, providing whānau-centred, culturally grounded primary care that makes a real difference.

Our practice is kaupapa Māori-led and embedded in the community we serve. We take a holistic, whānau-first approach, addressing not only physical health, but also social, emotional and wairua wellbeing. You’ll work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team who are deeply committed to equity, manaakitanga, and improving hauora outcomes for Māori and the wider community.

The Role
· Provide high-quality, compassionate primary care to individuals and whānau
· Work within a kaupapa Māori model of care
· Collaborate with nurses, kaiāwhina, and allied health professionals
· Engage in community-driven, preventative, and equity-focused health initiatives
· Flexible FTE options available (full-time or part-time)
About You
· Vocationally registered GP (or working toward Vocational Registration)
· Committed to culturally safe, whānau-centred care
· Alignment with kaupapa Māori values (you do not need to be Māori)
· Willingness to learn and work in a te ao Māori environment
· Team-focused, reflective, and community-minded
